Lay Kyal

Getting ready for the App Store and Play Store
Reaching more football fans means considering the whole experience, from browsing news and checking fixtures on a phone to the server capacity needed when many people follow the same matches.
For the Aloka team, client performance and server capacity are connected parts of that challenge. The aim is to keep information useful and timely while supporting a responsive experience as the audience grows.

Introducing Lay Kyal on the web
I developed Lay Kyal's responsive public website in Astro. It introduces the product in Burmese and English and brings together product and support information within the Lay Kyal visual identity.

The public website
The Astro website I developed for Lay Kyal, with a bilingual introduction and product and support information.
Creative identity and interface states
I contribute football graphics, editorial content and mascot concepts, alongside product and creative discussions with the team.
One exploration used the mascot to communicate loading, offline, error and missing-page states. These visual concepts focused on explaining what had happened and helping people understand their next step.
Working with the Aloka team
My role combines website development with contributions to UI/UX, selected backend tasks, testing and creative content. Working across these areas connects my interest in software development with how a product communicates with its audience.
The wider team platform includes a React Native/Expo app, an Express API and a Next.js administration interface. My direct website work uses Astro.
