Educational AR experience allowing children to learn alphabets and vocabulary through 3D visualization. Built interactive prototypes with Unity, focusing on intuitive UX design for young learners.
The AR Flashcards for Kids project aims to make early childhood learning more engaging through Augmented Reality. By scanning printed flashcards, children can view corresponding 3D models (e.g., animals, fruits, objects) rendered in real-time. The experience blends tactile and digital learning, encouraging curiosity and interactivity.
As the UI/UX designer and Unity developer, I focused on the visual layout, camera interaction logic, and spatial UI design to ensure that young learners could intuitively navigate the AR environment without guidance.
Used Unity’s AR Foundation for cross-platform AR detection and plane tracking, ensuring stable model rendering.
Designed intuitive interfaces with bright colors, large touch zones, and simple feedback animations for kids.
Integrated Unity’s AudioSource and EventSystem to play sounds upon model recognition or button press.
The AR Flashcards project successfully demonstrated how immersive 3D interaction can enhance children’s learning experiences. It improved my understanding of spatial UX design, AR interaction patterns, and optimizing 3D assets for mobile AR. This project also strengthened my ability to combine visual storytelling with educational goals through technology.
